We’d like to take this moment to thank each and every one of the authors who have graciously agreed to appear in our 2014 calendar, as well as those authors who will be appearing (hint, hint) in our Bare It For Books calendar in 2015. We couldn’t have gotten this far without you, and we are so grateful for your continued enthusiasm and support.
We’d also like to thank all of the people who have helped BIFB get to this moment – we wouldn’t have gone anywhere without you, too! You can see a comprehensive list of our supporters on this website. Much love and thanks to you all.
So what’s the next step in the Bare It For Books project? Why, pulling that calendar together, of course! As of today, you can hop on over to our Indiegogo campaign page and have a peek at all of the lovely swag you can score when you donate to the campaign. We are aiming to raise the bulk of our printing and production costs through our Indiegogo fund, so please spread the word about Bare It For Books far and wide, and get yourself some swag!

3,000 passengers and lots of sunscreen on largest naked cruise in history

Sometime in the late afternoon on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 — an hour or so after the cruise ship Carnival Freedom leaves its home port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida — the ship’s captain will make an announcement on the ship’s public address system.

The captain’s message will go something like this:

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are now in international waters. Please feel free to disrobe.”

And with that, approximately 3,000 passengers aboard the Carnival Freedom will doff duds and begin eight days of the largest naked cruise vacation in the history of the world.

Naturism on Murdoch Mysteries

This week's episode of Murdoch Mysteries on CBC involved a "naturist colony".

Murdoch Mysteries is a drama, currently set in 1900, that revolves around Detective William Murdoch of the Toronto Constabulary who investigates murder using forensic techniques of the time. (think CSI from 100 years ago) The show is currently in its 6th season.

While 1900 is a bit early for naturism in Canada, it is not completely out of the realm of possibility. They must have done their research well because they were fairly accurate about the philosophy – right down to the gruff German leader. (although at times, his accent sounded more Scottish than German)
