YES! You Can Come Camping!

For weeks people have been asking when they will be able to come and camp. Some very patient folks have been making reservations and resolutely moving them forward as we waited for the government to reopen short-term camping. Well that day has finally arrived!!

The government is allowing us to enter stage 2 reopening which means that starting on Friday June 19th:

  • Overnight camping is allowed
  • The Bare Bistro patio is open
  • The pool is open (assuming the York Region Health inspector comes in time to approve it)

As we have announced previously, you can also book cabins, guest rooms, and visit for the day. The interior amenities (sauna, hot tub, lounge, etc...) remain closed. All the details on what is open and what is not can be found at:

Volleyball Tournament Update

The June 26th to July 1st volleyball tournament is becoming a badminton tournament. Team sports are out under the circumstances. And, according to study commissioned by the Italian Olympic Committee and conducted by the Polytechnic of Turin, volleyball is the most dangerous sport in terms of risk of COVID-19 contagion. So we are adapting to single player sports and badminton seems like a fun alternative. We will organize play over 6 courts. We are also considering whether there are any safe, single player, and fun variations of volleyball that we can organize.

The volleyball tournament special pricing is still in effect. It's a great deal!! If you already reserved but you do not want to participate we will provide you with a full refund if you contact us by June 19th. After that, our normal cancellation policy applies.

We have been open for day use since May 19th. For overnight stays at the moment, we can only rent out motel rooms and cabins. Overnight camping is still not authorized. But we hope that it will be by the time our tournament begins. You can make risk-free reservations. If we can't honour your reservation, we will give you a full refund. If you cancel, then our normal cancellation policy still applies.

Updates on what we can and can't do can be found at:

Naturist Yoga Online!

When the weather is right, outdoor is always the best place to do Yoga at Bare Oaks. Normally when it is cold or rainy, we move indoors. But under the current circumstances, that is not allowed. So we're announcing Yoga with Nikki Online!  If the weather is good, it will happen simultaneously with the live version which means that those who can't visit the park will still be able to participate. The cost is $10 plus ticketing charges and taxes. Initially we are limiting it to 10 online people per session so that Nikki can interact with each person.

Important information:

  • The yoga classes are provided by an independent individual. Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park only coordinates the arrangement and is not responsible for the service provided.
  • Attendees in the online yoga classes must be clothing-free, visible on their camera, and actively participating. This is not a performance.
  • The yoga instructor can terminate the participation of anyone who is in any way disruptive, discourteous, or uncooperative. There will be no refunds to people who are removed from the class.
  • Arrive early: once the class starts nobody will be admitted in order not disturb the other participants. There will be no refunds for missed classes.

  • The yoga classes are provided by an independent individual. Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park only coordinates the arrangement and is not responsible for the service provided.
